Yesterday was the true showing of people going green. As soon as I stepped out of my apartment complex doors and started walking down the street, the color hit me from every angle possible. Cars drove by waving green streamers, people wore green clothes, green balloons hung from the grocery store cash register and a diner patio and the pub, well that is a place going green 365. People driving hybrid cars, those with solar panels, even if they weren’t celebrating St. Patrick’s Day were going green. It was a time to merry. Many without even thinking about the environment were helping it because they were walking from bar to bar, too drunk to drive.
So even the true Irish gentleman who were ordering up a beer at 10 in the morning were without thinking going green. I’m sure many more people used public transportation yesterday after long bar crawls. At least I hope so. Maybe it would be good for the planet if this holiday came every month instead of annually; less cars on the road that is for sure.

Haha, excellent post! I agree, it would be good if this holiday happened more regularly. Both my brother and sister shared cars and had one designated driver – much better than 6 separate cars! Again, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the great response!! Stay Green
