I was unaware of the fifteen hundred dollar energy tax rebates being offered by the Federal Government until my neighbors had a total up grade of their furnace and air conditioner. I know the company who did the installation and as they worked at the neighbors I walked over to check out the new equipment. As we were speaking the top guy doing the installation of the furnace and air conditioner mentioned to me I should also up grade my furnace and central air because I would get the fifteen hundred dollar tax rebates on my taxes. this was the first time I became aware of these energy tax rebates being offered. I told him I would think about it. With in a couple of weeks I called him and told them I wanted to take advantage of these energy tax rebates before the time limit on them ran out so they came down and installed a new central air conditioner and high efficiency furnace. I am very pleased with the new units and I also liked the tax rebate I received.

The is no such thing as a high efficiency gas furnace.
A gain of 10-20% efficiency is great, but the only way to really go green is with geothermal exchange.
Geothermal exchange units have the same equipment cost as a new gas furnace and electric ac, but double the installation cost. Which can be recouped within 10yrs and often less. And thereafter: free, green energy.
The 5 easy steps to being green, creating local jobs, and mitigating the worst effects of climate change and peak oil.
